For Jam, starting from zero isn’t a setback—it’s an invitation. To stay open to learning and to choose what brings her closer to who she’s becoming.
Tell us something about yourself! What would you like us to call you and what do you want people to know you for?
Hi, I’m Jamira, but everyone calls me Jam. I work in Sales and Marketing for our family business and manage a sports-shooting team made up of athletes from different generations. I’m turning a year older soon, and if there’s one thing I want to be known for in my 20s, it’s embracing being a beginner. I love learning new things even when I have to start from zero because there’s so much joy in progress.
How would you describe your Rituals in three words?
Curious. Evolving. Intentional.
In my mid-20s, I learned to welcome new experiences, to allow myself to try, to learn, and to start from the beginning without fear. As I move into my late 20s, I’m realizing that I don’t need to have everything figured out. There’s a quiet kind of freedom in letting life unfold, and a different kind of joy in noticing the small progress that often goes unseen.
I still seek new learnings and new beginnings, but now I choose them with care. I try to say yes only to what brings value, what feels aligned, and what gently moves me closer to the person I’m becoming.
Give us a little update—what are three things that have made you feel good recently?
A pick-me-up treatment at Simply Skin, just in time for my birthday.
Attending my first professional swim lesson with my sister.
Spending more intentional time with family.
What’s one secret you can lend to a fellow Woman in Progress®️ for a great journey towards progress?
Don’t be afraid to be a beginner.
You don’t have to be great to start, but you do have to start to be great. The early steps might feel small or even invisible, but they’re the ones that build your foundation. Every attempt to become a better version of yourself matters. Just begin and the rest will follow.
